This education is ideal for those living in the region equipping them with practical skills and knowledge to promote a safer sporting and active environment.

The Sideline Help and Concussion Workshop introduces attendees to a range of injury prevention and management principles. Including soft and hard tissue injury management, on/off field injury assessments, concussion management, wound management and more.

- Online Course component to be completed prior to practical day (sent upon registration)
- Complete full day practical assessment session in person
You must complete all components to become an Accredited Sports Trainer plus provide evidence of current Provide First Aid (HLTAID011 - valid for 3 years) & CPR (HLTAID009- valid for 12 months) certificates.

· Trunk Injuries

· Head and Spinal Injuries

On successful completion of a SASMA Sports Trainers course?
A National Accreditation lasts for 3 years and is issued on successful completion of the course. On Successful completion of the SASMA Sports Trainers courses candidates become a SASMA Sports Trainer Member, opening up a range of benefits, including discounted events and courses, including the annual Conference, paid opportunities, mentoring, and more.

Course prerequisites
A current Provide First Aid (HLTAID011) & CPR certificate is required to receive Accreditation. This can be completed prior to or after the course however accreditation will not be granted until evidence of current certificates has been received.

A National Accreditation lasts for 3 years and is issued on successful completion of the course. On Successful completion of the SASMA Sports Trainers courses candidates will be eligible to apply for Sports Trainer Membership and insurance through Sports Medicine Australia.
